The late Jean Small, a local elementary school teacher and supporter of the arts, is credited with being the first person to suggest that the old town hall, then used as a warehouse by the Town, would be “perfect for an arts center.” Today, her vision has come to life, and Arts of Tolland is so very pleased to be able to provide for the community rotating galleries of original art by local and out-of-state artists.
Each artist exhibits his or her work for a month at a time, and the Arts Center gallery is open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Saturdays and from 2 to 5 p.m. on Wednesdays in May, June, September, October, and November.
